Elk Film Development Fund is a collaboration between Dogwoof , Vækstfonden (Danish Growth Fund) and Elk Film, aimed at bridging private equity, sales knowhow and European Film Funds to secure dynamic financing models. The fund has 3-4 million DKK annually dedicated to provide early angel investment in documentary productions.
EFDF will engage in projects early where we can become a production partner to secure production financing while supporting the development processes and package the production for the international market. We typically engage as a majority production partner, but not exclusively.
Elk Film Development combines a staff of executive producers, story consultants, an international sales staff, private and public investors, as well as a technical department offering high-end production equipment and postproduction services.
Our aim is to professionalize development and production methods to secure a dynamic process from idea stage to final film delivery. Projects are not exclusive to Elk Film productions.
